Slowklang

Slowklang represents the youngest generation of jazz musicians – and follows a clear credo: music needs time! Musically, the Vienna-based trio creates expansive sonic landscapes that invite listeners to slow down and truly engage. Their concerts offer space for deep listening, reflection, and pause – a conscious counterpoint to today’s fast-paced world.

With an unconventional lineup of vocals, saxophone, electric bass and foot organ, Slowklang pushes beyond traditional song forms and plays with spherical, contemporary improvisation. Their sound moves between delicate stillness and powerful grooves – always expressive, always deeply captivating. Responsible for this characteristic sound are the band members: Robin Gadermaier with his one-of-a-kind bass playing (electric bass + foot organ) and Robert Unterköfler with uncompromising saxophone lines shape the musical structure over which Amina Bouroyen’s precise and heartfelt vocals effortlessly soar.

In 2024, slowklang released their debut album “Mindscapes”, which was warmly received by critics and audiences alike:

“Dreamlike music that defies classical genre boundaries. Mystically beautiful!!”

– Claus Volke
